ABOUT US

Rachael DuBose, M.S.Ed, LPCC-S, CCTP, has been a mental health professional since 2010. After earning a bachelor's degree in Development Studies from The Ohio State University in 2006, she earned a master's of science in Education, concentrating in Counselor Education. Rachael started her journey as a licensed mental health counselor in 2012, and dedicates herself to Be the Light's mission to empower traditionally stigmatized and marginalized individuals and communities.
Be the Light was created in the memory of Tiara, who passed away from acute myeloid leukemia in November 2014. Tiara gave the world an example, serving as a light that shined bright enough to spark inspiration in everyone she encountered. Be the Light's mission is to fight the stigma of mental illness, especially in historically excluded communities, through advocacy and education.
